Brock Turner to be released on Friday

After just three months in a county jail, Brock Turner, the infamous "Stanford Rapist" is to be released halfway through his already disturbingly short sentence on account of good behavior. This whole case has had me seething and absolutely livid, and this is the final injustice. Further, if you want to ruin your day, take 10 minutes to read the victim's (officially dubbed Emily Doe in court) open letter to her RA. If I can urge anyone to do anything: don't forget this.

I read the letter a while ago and yes, i am appalled at the short sentence. There was a similar guy a long time ago who was falsely accused and got 20 years (released after a few though) it sickens me.

I don't even think he had to serve the whole 6 months. He has done 3 months max.

Exactly, I want to see him get a job, and I'm pretty sure any credits he got at Stanford that year were anulled.

He was forced to give up his swimming scholarship and degree, and he's banned from the US Olympic team. Probably won't impact him much considering his parents can bankroll him for the rest of his life.

Still not an elegant life by any means, imo he should change his name and/or disappear.

So rape is okay if someone is a rapist? His punishment should be the very act that is punishable by offense?
