Recently, I've decided to dual boot with Windows 8 Pro and Ubuntu. I'm new to the whole dual boot thing since I've been using Linux as a VM the entire time. Anyways, I created partitions (/, swap, /home) and was unsure where to install the boot loader so I set it to / which was a mistake because that would mean I'll have to install GRUB manually according to the search results.

So I take a look around and came across this software, Boot Repair Disk. I ran it to fix the GRUB issue and now everything is working okay. Just thought this software would be of use to anyone who made made a minor mistake and such. Pretty handy tool to fix booting issues.

I have a forum (which I cannot share due to breaching the rules here), that has every version of Windows DaRT (Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset) suited to all Windows from XP to Windows 10, that otherwise requires a MSDN/TechNet subscription.
