I had 2 missed calls today so I called the number back and it said "hello Tudor group" I was super confused since it was a Wales number. The woman on the end of the call said she had no idea why anybody would have called me, after about 2 mins of trying to figure it out between us it clicked that Tudor group = TG ... TG Builders is the company I have been applying for, ffs I've been applying for a job and didn't even know the real name of the company lmao.
Anyway, I wasn't supposed to get a phone call until next week since they have more interviews on Friday but the owner was so impressed with me he had somebody call me up right away and offer me a position. They also said they would like me to go forward for the trainee manager job as I am very fitting for the role and they'd like somebody young since they're more likely to get more years of service out of me. I thought I was getting old (27) until I heard them say that haha, now I feel young af again.
Anyway, I'm so fucking happy and should start no later than the 1st August.
Be patient dudes if you're looking for a job, don't just take any job, wait until there is something perfect for you and then really apply yourself. I went through 2 weeks of classroom shit (maths, English) another week of customer support training, a week class 2 driving training before passing my class 2 licence, several emails, several calls, a week of training just to see if I was a decent candidate, two face to face interviews with the head of recruitment and then the owner himself. Yes, it was a lot of effort but now I am in a position where I could potentially be earning a lot of money, company car, other benefits. I've been out of work for 2 years apart from 3 months of temp work just for some extra cash.
