Best Pokemon Game?

Title says it all.
What's your favorite Pokemon game?

Personally I love Emerald but the game with the best champion battle is Platinum by far.
And Soul Silver and Heart Gold were awesome for having the Pokemon follow you around and the two accessible region and the Red battle are awesome!

My old-school favorite game must be Emerald, then while my current favorite is definitely Soul Silver.

I haven't played Black and white yet. I'm waiting for X and Y to come out. I tend to keep about a generation behind because that tends to be when games go for cheap.

Platinum is a great game, no doubt.
I always found that the gyms and the game in general was a little lacking until after the third gym.

Nah I tried it and IMO it's sort of childish but it's also cool so I prefer to play other games like CoD and GTA and My Little Pony adventure...
