I'm sure you are all familiar with Thinkpads, but from all the models out there, there are only a few which I actually had as an everyday drive, that being the T480 model.
Reasons: Upgradeable RAM, up to 64 GB, Upgradeably + dual SSD NVMe compatability + all the damn ports you actually use + it's charged via USB-C
The main reason is that the base model costs around 250$ it's cheap and easily upgradeable. of course paired with some Linux OS such as Ubuntu or Arch it just rocks, for those who need more power, it also supports an external GPU, making it a pretty good model for nearly all needs. And for those who love MacOS, it also had good support for Hackintosh :3
