Best Adapter for Pentesting? 03-26-2018, 08:33 PM
#1
I want to buy an adapter which will be compatible for penetration testing. Currently using TP Link wn722n but it doesn't support aircrack-ng, reaver or any other tool My budget is around $20. Can I get a compatible adapter at this rate? I know 'Alfa' is the best but don't know which model to buy and also some of those has a high rate. Please tell me which device you are currently using for this purpose and which one you would recommend. Thanks in advance.

I've used a D-Link... I can't remember the type but it was quite cheap, and it handled everything I wanted to with it well. Monitor mode etc available. I'll check when I get home for the exact type.

Personally, my WN722N works perfectly. Decent range with the built-in antennae, promiscuous, and supports all the tools I need, including tools like the aircrack suite and reaver. Maybe you don't have the right drivers installed? PM me or shoot me a message on Discord and I'll be happy to try to figure out what's going on.

His adapter version might be version 2 which doesn’t work in the same way as version 1.
Google beat kali wireless adapter 2018 and I think the Alfa NHA or NH came tops.

Just to touch base with you, over the 4 month period since the thread's creation have you found a suitable and most Importantly, effective adapter?
If so, I'd like to view your thoughts, Inclusive of the make and model.
