How To: Force Host

What is 'Forcing Host':

'Forcing Host' is as it sounds, Forcing yourself to be the host of a lobby.

What is 'Host':

Call of Duty is a game that runs off P2P hosting. Simply, one person hosts a match and all others connect to the match by connecting to the host. Call of Duty chooses the host based on many factors such as, connection speed and NAT type.

Why Force Host:

Being the host of the lobby is basically like being on a LAN, system link connection. There is no time between shots fired and hit-markers. This happens because there is no delay between the data sent and received. When you are not host, every time you shoot, it sends a signal to the host saying you shot and what you shot at, it then must send you a signal back saying that, you did in fact hit that person. It also sends and receives movement data. If someone is lagging, this like hit-markers after someone is around a corner. This happens as the game trys to compensate as it sees that client-side you hit him on, but the person was around the corner because of lag, but since you still hit him client-side it counts the hit. Basically, being host gets rid of all types of lag, except of course FPS.

Requirements:

-A PC
-A Platform (Xbox, PC, PS3, Wii)

How to Force Host:

Step 1:
Download NetTools 5:
http://download.cnet.com/NetTools/3000-2...31235.html

Step 2:

Install.

Step 3:

Open and Navigate to 'Start > Network Tools > UDP Flooder' (You will have to scroll down a bit)

Step 4:

Replace the line that says, '127.0.0.1' with '27.27.27.27'

Step 5:

Replace the line that says, 'Data' with 'Data' about 2,000 times. You can lower this but it won't be as effective.

Step 6:

Go to Xbox/PS3/PC/Wii and start the matchmaking.

Step 7:

While matchmaking, click 'Start' on Net Tools.

Step 8:

Wait until it puts you in your own lobby.
(If it says Analyzing match 0 out of 42 or something to that matter, you are good.) (If it shows numbers instead of 0, then you need to up the amount of data or put your computer in a place better connected to your router unless you are doing this using an Ethernet cable.) (It shows this on Call of Duty, not Net Tools.)

Step 9:

Once it puts you in your own match, click 'Stop' on Net Tools.

Step 10:

Let people join your match.
(If it starts analyzing for matches again, click 'Start' until it goes away and then 'Stop' and wait for people to join once more.)

Step 11:

Have fun being host and winning all your gunfights!

TIPS:

When the game is about to start, it will say 'Migrating Host' as long as it just says 'Migrating Host' and doesn't start counting, you will be host that game. You must watch for this before every game to make sure you are host.

If you get done with a game after being host, a quick way to know if you are host for the next game is checking the scores. If all the scores are still there from last game and everyone's' score isn't 0, then you are still host.

Thanks for looking. Comments Appreciated! This took me a long time to make.

Its a great guide but COD is extremely easy as it is. No need to cheat.
