Anyone here celebrate lent? I don't, but I always hated ash Wednesday because in Catholic school we had to wear a cross of ash on our forehead the whole day. It was bullshit because it always burned and itched for me and if you rubbed it off you got in a ton of trouble which I thought was ridiculous.

I don't celebrate it traditionally, but I have put the ash on my head before and didn't seem to bother me. Maybe you have sensitive skin?

It was probably because we got ash put on our heads around 10 in the morning and had to sit in school with it all day. The ash was all I could think about because usually I put my hand on my forehead when I work so I had to constantly be thinking about it so I wouldn't accidentally rub it off and get into trouble.

It marks the beginning of Lent I believe. I should know a ton more about it than I do though, I went to a catholic school from kindergarden to 6th grade. Shows how much I pay attention in school.
