Anyone here celebrate lent? I don't, but I always hated ash Wednesday because in Catholic school we had to wear a cross of ash on our forehead the whole day. It was bullshit because it always burned and itched for me and if you rubbed it off you got in a ton of trouble which I thought was ridiculous.

My people usually do, since it's the starting day of the period whateveritscalled when Jesus was in the desert for 40 days.

I don't celebrate it traditionally, but I have put the ash on my head before and didn't seem to bother me. Maybe you have sensitive skin?
