I'm talking about RTS or real time strategy games. It's my favorite genre. There's a lot to be said for first person shooters and all the other genres out there but I love a game that involves top-down viewed strategy. Right now I'm playing Command and Conquer Generals. It's a few years old now but it's such an awesome game.

Yes, I'm and RTS gamer here. But I've only recently started playing the game genre and haven't gotten the chance to experience games like the Command and Conquer series. But I currently play Starcraft 2 and love the fast paces action of the game and the control feels smooth. I love how there are so much factors that can lead you to a win in the game. Macro and micro, scouting and strategy. The satisfying feeling of defeating your opponent in an RTS game is what keeps me playing it.
