What do you think caused the surge in anime popularity in the US over the past few years?

Personally, I just think some celebrities were like “oh this is new” and said something about watching it and then it blew up.

Don’t get me wrong I’m sure there is here’s and there’s that watched it a lot before hand however.

idk but it definitely starting to become more mainstream now in the U.S
