just backtrack and armitage? I don't have these as of yet, i need to be able to get ubuntu working properly first. I scan with acunetix on windows but it is slowas fuck and doesnt come up with much most of the time.

Those are good to start with, they have tons of exploits already pre-installed and ready to go.
