2 step authentication 01-15-2014, 03:43 AM

Adding 2 step authentication would be very useful. It allows a user to enable a feature that makes it so that when an IP address that isn't your own tries to login to your account it would make that person on the untrusted IP address authenticate themselves with the Google Authenticator app (it is also possible to add a email authentication option but a hacker might also have access to the accounts email). This would easily stop someone from gaining unauthorized access to any account because they wouldn't have the phone linked to the account. I would really like to see this implemented into the forum.
Thank you. :blackhat:

At this moment, this might not be priority. Nevertheless, nice suggestion.

Well you could add like a security question once you've entered the correct credentials and then set that question in the User CP. Pretty simple coding and doesn't really interfere with anything.

This forum isn't going to be anywhere near a stage that anyone would want to hack other members for their "perks".
I can think of a few who might do it for giggles if they get butt-hurt, so watch out and kiss ass like a lot of them do. If you don't kiss their ass and bend to their every command they'll hax u 4 shore.

Maybe in the future. I don't think we are big enough to have that much of a risk. I'll keep this in the back of my mind though.
