13 great questions to help you define a clear goal #1
Here are 13 questions to ask yourself when you are forming a goal. If answered they will stimulate your thinking about your success measures. The answers will also give you clarity about what you want to achieve.
Making a note of your answers will help you to capture the key points to be included in your written goal.

Think about something you want to make a difference about and ask yourself:

1. What specifically do I want to achieve?

2. What does my success look like?

3. When this goal is achieved what will I be doing?

4. How will I know when I have achieved this goal?

5. What will be different when this goal has been achieved?

6. How relevant is this goal to organisational goals and the things that are important to me personally?

7. How will I measure the achievement of this goal?

8. By when will I achieve this?

9. What specifically will show that this goal has been met or exceeded?

10. How much control do I have over this?

11. What will I be able to do as a result of achieving this goal?

12. How achievable do I believe this goal to be?

Now the challenge is to convert this into one sentence SMART goal; ‘By xxxxxx (date) … followed by a statement of what will be achieved with success measures included.

Brilliant. 99% of people who set goals don't do it in the best manner.
