Sorry for reviving an old thread, despite this being outdated it's a great tutorial to educate those on how to start malware analysis safely - if people follow this tutorial then it'd be pretty hard to mess anything up once you've got the VM setup properly and isolated from your personal computer. Appreciate the effort that went into this!
