About the supposed "hate" on the "inactivity issue".

It's just that, we don't want to see threads where the author might have left for good, get needlesly bumped.
Because that makes the forums look...well unprofressional.

All I'm pointing out, is if you're going to be inactive for some time, make a post, or heck pm one of the community managers, letting them know you'll be taking a leave for a while, and we'll make a post in staff hq to let the mods know.

and @geoff Well they shouldn't just "bump" the thread, and I won't lock a thread just for inactivity, but I will generally lock it if say the author hasn't been around in a few weeks, because for all we know with out warning, they might have just quit the forum.
