I have been looking into getting a new pc that can sustain more than what my current pc can do. But wanting more sometimes means spending more, which is the issue. Which lead me to the topic "Console Priced Computers." I have watched a fair few videos on this topic and they all seem quiet compelling, but I feel as if I need to know a lot more before I make any further dissent into said topic.

You should post some of these videos so I can see exactly what you mean. I will say, however, that I wasn't patient and bought a $400 laptop and yeah, it gets the job done but I am still limited. At the time I needed a laptop but for my next computer (whether that's a laptop or desktop) I will for sure wait until I save up enough to get a good/great computer. I don't plan on going over a grand as it will need to be replaced anyhow but I won't go the cheap route again. I want to play games that require higher than a toaster to play.

I was in the same situations as you were, not being patient enough and spending money on a good/great computer. Which is why I have put some money on the side for about a couple of months now so I can start to look on upgrading form this computer to the next bigger one.

You're getting a 5.5 computer for almost 200. Yeah, that's fucking cheap but you're not going very far with it. I'd say 600-900 is a good amount to spend on a great pc if you're building it yourself.

TL;DR
Save your money. You'll thank yourself later 'cuz "console" pcs are not all that great. Live up to the "HUR DUR PC MASTER RACE" stereotype

If you really really want to go the cheap route, you can pick up an oldish Optiplex off craigslist or ebay and then pop in a better gpu in it. It'll likely have a weak cpu though and will be bottlenecked by cpu intensive games, but you can game on them pretty well. This is more or less what I'm talking about.

I'd recommend not doing that though. You'll be limited with what you can upgrade it to later on.

Like DarkMuse said, it's best to just save your money for now. Something like this is a good target build to save up for.
