Only one search per 30 seconds? #1
I know it's important to keep search queries down to a minimum but could we have the time cut in half? Twice I've done searches and ended up having to wait around for about 10-15 secs because of it. Anyone else support this?
I'm out. Y'all needa sense of humor. Peace.

I support this. It's hard to search for something especially if you don't know the exact keyword. You often end up waiting before you can search again.

Exactly, thank you for putting it in words my sleep deprived brain as unable to, haha.

Using the search feature causes a lot of stress on the server (if used by bulk). I think it's fine as it is.

Hence why I suggested the time frame be cut down, not eliminated. Where do you get "bulk" out of that? You could only rapidly search if the time frame was eliminated completely. Also those searches will still be done, since we need to find what we're looking for, this just makes it happen in a more timely, and less frustrating, manner.

By "bulk" I mean a lot of users searching at the same time, not the same user bulk searching, lol.

How would that be any different due to a time limitation? Do you not understand server load? I'll break it down for you, buddy, 100 users searching at the same time = 100 users searching at the same time. FYI the more post/thread count grows the greater the load will be, so it's only going to go up regardless of the time frame. Lol

Searching using queries add to the server load. So the less time duration between each search will make a difference to the server load, otherwise there wouldn't be one.

I've never had a problem with this. I usually just change to my YouTube tab and pick a new song while I wait...

I'm aware, yet you're talking about bottlenecks in terms of server load here.
