I got everything set up and using a different distro didn't have an effect. Not really sure what would change.

Cool guide, however i recommend just jumping in and installing it as a main OS, that's how i learned and it kind of forces you to adapt to the new environment fast.

Well, he said newer threads for Linux beginners, so I'd assume he means one similar to this but more recently posted than 2014.

well , how about , something like a guide to explore around , and maybe some tips for new guys on the endless void behind "terminal" , the place is a damn maze :'D , after that, how about some notes on how you can advance in computer engineering with linux and , eh thats all i can think so far...

p.s. : actually had these questions long time , i installed linux just to impress on start but i really want to get to learn new things!
