you'll need more info than that. try booting into safe mode and see if it hangs at a specific driver.

What do you mean it hangs on a driver thing?

Post a screenshot/error code

Give us more info, your posts are too vague to extract anything meaningful from them. How did you install windows? Official CD or pirated copy? Where are you getting your drivers, the internet or off of CD's?

You can always just upgrade to windows 10 but I don't know if that is an option for you.

Usually laptops are OEM and only can be installed on windows 8 (most laptops) if the sticker on your laptop says win8 then your gonna run into issues with OS support on your bios correct me if i'm wrong tho.

@Neko that's nonsense. Most Windows 8 machines will run Windows 10, and OEMs don't keep you from installing a new operating system. All that sticker means is that the machine has that operating sytems preinstalled. Its branding/advertising, and those same stickers come in hardware for custom machines. (My CPU included that sticker) What he's describing sounds like a driver issue, faulty ram or hard disk, or maybe a improper/bad install. First thing I'd do here is make sure that "Safe Boot" is disabled in the bios. That has caused all kinds of odd behavior for me when installing an operating system. Also, is this an in place upgrade, or are you installing from scratch? Windows 10 can be a bit temperamental when doing an upgrade, especially with old or outdated drivers. I recommend you back anything you need up and reformat the disk before you install Windows 10. Feel free to contact me with any problems you may have, or ask here.
