New Ownership - Policies and Changes Going Forward #1
HELLO EVERYONE!!!

It seems I have been delaying a proper introduction. As I have been working day and night on the back-end of the site to get it properly working. Security comes first before anything else.
I'm NekoElf! I have been a long-time user/lurker of the site, and the previous administration has entrusted me with the future of this forum. I know I can never replicate the high bar that Mothered had for his posting quality, but I believe I can come close. Expect some high-quality content from me soon!

I know that many of you are excited to hear what I shall do with the forum, and this post is to answer most of the questions that you may have!

Will you allow XXXX?

I cannot allow any sort of financial fraud and never will. Sinister.ly has always hated carders from day 1.
This includes things like:

  • Selling accounts for the purpose of carding/accounts with "balance".
  • "Open up services" which are things like bank accounts made with stolen documents. Bad.

Also, combo-lists and especially databases are not allowed. I know this may come as a surprise to some, but it shouldn't. No other English forum that I know of is allowing it as of now for obvious reasons.
These are all things certain people are looking out for recently. I will not risk it.

That being said:
I will allow the sale/giveaway of accounts given that they follow the rules above and business is done offsite. Offsite meaning any transaction is not done in PMs. This is for the site's security and integrity.

Account logins must not be posted in text to the site. They must be hosted in a offsite paste bin. I also take on the assumption that no account shared on here is cracked/stolen, and if you advertise that the accounts are cracked/stolen the post will be removed and the user disciplined.
I have also decided to expand what our site will allow for our ads/sponsors, with the rules above applying as such. Message me here or on Signal/Telegram for details.

These changes comply with, but are not endorsed by the wishes of the previous sites owner. I have consulted him over the past days of what should and shouldn't be allowed.
Other than that, nothing will change, and I won't remove anything else.

Will there be a Discord/Telegram chat?

Talking to members in the Skype/Discord/IRC was one of my favorite memories of the site. And I intend to bring it back soon.
Matrix/IRC is an option I am thinking of, but I don't know if younger members/newcomers would pick up on its use. Discord is what I have been thinking of, but discussion would be drastically different than on-site because of Discord's TOS. Telegram seems like the best option, but it seems limited with its layout.
I will let forum users have a say in this decision with a poll.

What did/will you add to the site?

I have added three things so far:
  • Post ratings.
  • Made it so everyone can see our sponsors. This was a suggestion I had from multiple of our sponsors and will help keep the site running.
  • Made Drako a moderator. He has been on the forum for nearly a decade and was trusted by the previous administration and myself. As you can see, he is doing an excellent job.

I am also currently working on:
  • A video game exploit section. Specifically Minecraft and Roblox as engineering exploits for those two games is something I enjoy.
  • A shoutbox so registered users can chat with each other onsite. Although I am still currently debating shipping this update as it is a big change for many. Please let me know your opinion on this.
  • More BBCode for posts/threads. The site is built for it of course, and I want users to be able to customize posts more.

And I am currently thinking of doing:
  • A Minecraft server. Sinister.ly used to have one. Many of us started our hacking/cybersecurity journey on places like anarchy/HCF servers, and I want to know if users would participate in something like that.
  • A zero-bin instance hosted on the site. Zerobin is an open-source client-side encrypted pastebin. This would incentivize users to use our services when posting threads with pastebin links. Forum rules would still apply.
  • Allowing certain upgraded levels to hide content. This would incentivize high-quality posts.

Please let me know what you think of these changes! Your decision is more important than mine.

PS: Look for giveaways soon from me :3 Maybe some Minecraft accounts.

RE: New Ownership - Policies and Changes Going Forward #2
A worthy and important first introduction post, with a full outline of ongoing, developing, and upcoming projects, I really like it.

If I may suggest, there are many threads in the Suggestions section that could benefit from your attention. Rather than just saying they offer ideas, consider actively engaging with them to enhance the forum as a whole. Your input could make a real difference.

I’m confident that the forum will continue on its great path, just as it always has.

openups are not made of stolen data. most times it's verified by ppl who get paid to verify.

shoutbox is a rly good idea, looking forward to it.

I will allow services that don't use stolen docs given that they prove to me that they were verified by willing participants.

Congrats on becoming the new owner. I'm not hugely active anymore, but always make sure to pop my head in to see how things are going in my old stomping grounds. Look forward to see what you do with the place, SL has always been one of my favorite spots on the internet.

Hello Neko! Congratulations on buying the forum. I'm gonna miss Oni but he's moving on in life I guess.

I came originally as a musician but now I'm unsure on what direction I'm going to go in this forum personally, but since I've started Uni back up and I'm going for an Engineering program perhaps I'll have some different content out than what I usually do.
